Good therapy is built on trust. Our approach is pluralistic, which means we draw from different therapeutic ideas and work with you to understand what feels most helpful.
Teenagers & adolescents
Adolescence can bring intense emotions, pressure, uncertainty and change. Counselling offers a confidential, age-appropriate space where a young person can feel heard and work through difficulties at a manageable pace.
Support may include anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, school-related stress, peer relationships, identity, bereavement and significant life changes. Confidentiality and its safety-related limits are explained clearly before counselling begins.

The Donegal Counselling and Therapy Centre provides confidential, professionally supported counselling for adults and adolescents. The service is grounded in a pluralistic approach, recognising that each person’s circumstances, experiences and needs are different.
Clinical experience includes therapeutic work with adults, teenagers and adolescents, alongside professional backgrounds in counselling and psychotherapy, youth support, education, health and social care. Practice is supported by regular professional supervision and guided by the ethical standards of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Each client is informed of their therapist’s qualifications, professional membership and accreditation status before counselling begins.
